What are hydraulic hose fittings?

They are hermetic unions that allow connecting or coupling a hydraulic fluid line to another hydraulic component. For a good hydraulic connection we will take into account two basic existing elements: Seal or Terminal and Thread or Flange.

There are three types of seals:

1. Seal through the thread: The seal is produced when the conical threads of the threads fit between them.
2. Seal across a seat: The seal is produced when metal to metal contact occurs in a seat formed by an angle (male and female).
3. Seal through an o'ring: This is the most recommended type of seal for optimum control and to avoid leakage in high and extreme pressure hydraulic systems. It is recommended for having an o'ring which is in charge of the seal.
